The challenge
Professionally and personally, we may find ourselves trapped in our own thinking, anxious, stressed procrastinating, overthinking or even catastrophising. We may feel stuck, frightened even, or have that feeling that something is getting in the way, saying to ourselves ‘If only I could…’ or ‘Why can’t I just…’. We may worry about what people think of us, incapable, not resilient, out of our depth, not liked, weak. And if that is not enough our internal dialogue kicks in ‘You are not good enough, you’re a failure, you are useless…’ and on and on it goes.
The solution
I know and understand how this can make you feel…because I have been there. And the antidote I found was to talk to someone who didn’t make me feel stupid or ridiculous for being me, someone who listened patiently and helped me navigate my own unique path through it all. You have probably already done a lot of thinking and soul-searching, mulling things over, and maybe talking to friends but still feel stuck. Wouldn’t it be amazing if all this thinking could actually move you forward in some way?
